OBJECTIVE To describe the outcomes of implanting CIEDs with a focus on cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) in patients with PLSVC. METHODS We identified all patients with a PLSVC that underwent CIED implantation from December 2008 until February 2019 at our institution by querying the electronic medical record (n?=?34). We then identified controls in a 31 fashion (n?=?102) by matching on device type (CRT vs&nbsp;non-CRT). Procedure success, complications, fluoroscopy and procedural time were recorded. METHODS This is a prospective cohort study. Individuals aged 55 to 75 with a positive FIT that were referred for colonoscopy between July 2017 and November 2018, were invited to complete questionnaires related to psychological distress and health-related quality of life at three predefined time points before colonoscopy, after histopathology result notification, and after 6?months. Four questionnaires were used the Psychological Consequences Questionnaire (PCQ), the six-item Cancer Worry Scale (CWS), the Decision Regret Scale (DRS), and the 36-item Short-Form (SF-36). RESULTS A total of 1066 participants out of 2151 eligible individuals were included. Patients with cancer showed a significant increase in psychological dysfunction (P =?.01) and cancer worry (P =?.008) after colonoscopy result notification, and a decline to pre-colonoscopy measurements after 6 months. In the no-cancer groups, psychological dysfunction and cancer worry significantly decreased over time (P ?25). A good global quality of life was reported in participants with no cancer. The remaining teeth, which are considered to be congruent structures observed in the scan and radiographic images, are used to perform the image registration. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of the distribution of matching fiducial points on the accuracy of the image registration. MATERIALS AND METHODS A partially edentulous model with three anterior remaining teeth was prepared. Two mini dental implants were inserted in the posterior edentulous areas on both sides, and computed tomography and surface scan data were obtained. SUBJECTS AND METHODS Thirty-three male volunteers were evaluated for alcohol abuse rehabilitation; nine were selected for proteomic analysis. Intraoral examination was performed, and non-stimulated saliva was collected. Salivary proteins were extracted and processed for analysis. A list of proteins identified in saliva was generated from the database and manually revised, obtaining the total number of candidate biomarkers for oral disorders. RESULTS The mean age (n&nbsp;=&nbsp;33) was 42.94&nbsp;±&nbsp;8.61&nbsp;years. Fourteen (42.4%) subjects presented with 23 oral mucosa changes, and 31 (94%) had dental plaque. A total of 282 proteins were found in saliva (n&nbsp;=&nbsp;9), of which 26 were identified as candidates for biomarkers of oral disorders. After manual review, 21 proteins were selected. The highest number of candidates for biomarkers was associated with carcinoma of head and neck (n&nbsp;=&nbsp;10), nasopharyngeal carcinoma (n&nbsp;=&nbsp;6), and periodontal disease (n&nbsp;=&nbsp;6).
